IMG_5363We just returned from our trip to Carlisle, Pennsylvania, for the Carlisle Ford Nationals and we had a BLAST. The weather held off for most of the trip (an unexpected surprise) and ROUSH Performance had an awesome set-up with Chris Buescher’s No. 60 ROUSH Performance NASCAR, 2015 ROUSH Stage 1 and ROUSH Stage 2 Mustangs from Hoffman Ford, our ROUSH Off-Road Raptor, and a few ROUSH engines on display, with apparel for sale, and goodie bags being given out to those who signed up for our newsletters.

Roush Yates was on hand performing free installations all weekend, and making a little noise with the NASCAR to get the crowds excited!

ROUSH Road Crew was also in attendance! We counted 44 ROUSH Mustangs parked around our tent on Saturday, and had a great time bonding and enjoying the sights and sounds of hundreds of Mustangs and Ford performance vehicles parked around us. We recruited a few new members, and enjoyed choosing five ROUSH Mustangs to take home our RRC awards!

Rino LaCerra took the award for Best Paint with his 2006 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang, while Jayson Bankert brought home our Best Modified award with his 2008 ROUSH 428R. The engine bay of John Riley’s 2006 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang wowed us, so he earned the Best Engine award, while Stephen Pecko’s 2015 ROUSH Stage 2 Mustang was deemed Most Intimidating, and Travis Jackson’s 2008 BlackJack won Best ROUSH.

We enjoyed a group dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings Friday evening, and all of the Road Crew was invited. Good food and great times were had by all!

Saturday night, the ROUSH Performance team was lucky enough to receive world premier passes to “Demon on Wheels” – a film documentary about the restoration of a 1968 Ford Mustang. Afterward, we got to check out the beautiful Mustang parked out on the sidewalk in front of the theater.

We made the eight hour trek back home to Michigan on Sunday night, and are already planning for next year’s event. We want your input! What can we do to improve? We already have quite a few ideas, but we’d love to hear what would make this event even more fun for you. For those of you who chose to bypass this year’s Carlisle Ford Nationals, what kind of RRC activities would make you consider attending again? Let us know!
